At the Gamejam 2019 hosted by the University of Portsmouth, my team and I developed an engaging game titled Fish Styx.
Fish Styx, an Endless Swimmer, drew inspiration from Yalapa. In this project, I undertook the role of the sole programmer, collaborating with a team comprising four talented artists, one game designer, and myself as the programmer.
Key features of Fish Styx encompassed dynamic elements such as endless level generation, diverse item pickups with unique effects, pursuing enemies, a hook item that demanded players to skillfully mash their way out if caught, and an intense boss fight that relentlessly pursued the player throughout the entire level.
This endeavor not only showcased my programming expertise but also demonstrated effective teamwork and the ability to bring together various game design elements into a cohesive and enjoyable gaming experience.
